The Business Context

  • Over the years, due to both inorganic and organic growth, the organization had grown big. Consequently, there were many employees who got promoted and managerial layers got created.
  • However, those managers never got trained to manage people. Consequently, the organization started getting complains pertaining to team management which reflected in the Manager Effectiveness survey sores.
  • Hence to groom the managers to become more skilled and humane to do their role effectively, there was a need to conduct a highly contextualized role-based capability development initiative whereby the managers would be imparted leadership, coaching and team development skills.
  • The target was to increase Manager Effectiveness score by 10% and reduce organization wide attrition by 7%

Our Approach

  • GrowthSqapes conducted a primary diagnostic study and analysed the secondary data given by the client to arrive at the targeted competencies to de developed.
  • Relevant psychometric tools were also used to arrive at the current state of the manager’s skills.
  • A 6-month long customized leadership development journey for about 100 managers in the middle management cadre was created, which included workshops, psychometric assessment based coaching session, group coaching sessions and digital learning.
  • The intervention was also tied to the overall strategic direction of the company and career enhancement process
